Join NUMB Boneheads (Trombones)

NUMB Trombones An essential part of the "Low Brass Collective," the trombone section is more commonly known to NUMBers as the "Boneheads."

Protectors of the highly-coveted Bonehead Flag, this spirited section has spawned some of the ensemble's great and fun traditions, such as playing the school's fight song, Go U, Northwestern!, in a round at the conclusion of each home game. Like other sections, the boneheads also engage in numerous social gatherings outside of rehearsal, including the annual Bonehead Bowl, a snowy touch football game pitting the boneheads against "The World." The section hosted its first-ever Bonehead Reunion during homecoming weekend, which attracted over 40 past and current boneheads from throughout NUMB's history.
